Ventana Canyon has Tucson's only AimPoint certified instructor ready to take your green reading skills to the next level. During the 2-hour class, students learn to read short, medium, and long putts by feeling the slope of the green with your body. Students also learn advanced techniques required to successfully read double breaking putts and adjust to changing green speeds. Sign up to learn the same green reading technique used by PGA and LPGA major champions, and hundreds of the top players on the professional golf tours. Contact Gordon Bennett, PGA at gbennett@the lodgeatventanacanyon.com to schedule your class. Special rates for active duty military members and first responders!
This 3-1/2 hour lesson is conducted in the morning, allowing students to have the afternoon to do whatever they choose. The time will be divided into 3 sessions: full swing fundamentals; the short game, including lessons on chipping, pitching and bunker shots; and the art of putting.
Learning to play golf is not just learning how to swing. The Full-Day Schools has the morning curriculum of the Half-Day School, but also includes lunch and a round of golf in the afternoon with your instructor. In this way, the student will receive technical instruction in the morning but will then benefit from on-course assistance in the afternoon. Course management, strategy and shot selection will be discussed during play.
This comprehensive school allows students to receive detailed and thorough instruction in all phases of the game. Each day will include morning instruction, lunch and afternoon play, with an emphasis on each participant becoming a better player, not just a better swinger. A 3-day period provides the instructor valuable time to get to know each student, thereby affording the opportunity to make lasting improvement in each person’s performance.
Playing Lessons — Learn the art of shotmaking. These clinics will introduce putting, chipping, pitching, bump and run, sand and playing golf in the wind. Lessons can be scheduled at your convenience.
Private Lessons — Private lessons are also available and should be scheduled prior to your arrival. Instruction takes place at our 32-acre Practice Center, just two minutes by golf cart from The Lodge. With multiple targets, bunker practice, and more than 1-acre of putting greens, the Practice Facility will test every shot in your bag.
