Habitat Preservation and Enhancement

Our expansive 600-acre property is home to a rich variety of wildlife and native plants, and we take great care to preserve and enhance this natural environment.

  • Wildlife Habitat Protection:
    • With only 24% of our property developed for turf, the remaining land serves as a vital habitat for a variety of native species, including birds, javelinas, bobcats, coatimundis, coyotes, mountain lions, desert tortoises, Gila monsters, roadrunners, Harris’s hawks, great horned owls, Gambel’s quail, ringtail cats, kangaroo rats, desert cottontail rabbits, and Western diamondback rattlesnakes.
  • Native Vegetation Policy:
    • The Ventana Canyon HOA encourages homeowners along the golf course to maintain native vegetation on common property, supporting the natural desert ecosystem.
  • Pollinator Support:
    • We maintain a certified monarch butterfly waystation and focus on pollinator-friendly plantings to sustain vital ecosystems.
  • Invasive Plant Control:
    • In partnership with the Ventana Canyon HOA, our golf course maintenance team actively works to remove invasive species such as buffelgrass, ensuring the health of native plant communities.
  • Sustainable Sourcing for Dining:
    • We partner with local farms and ranches for fresh, responsibly-sourced ingredients and work with coastal suppliers to offer sustainably-caught seafood offered on our menu, supporting ethical and eco-friendly food practices.
